8.5 weeks and a flat tummy! 23 weeks and same shirt.
Good work, hubby! They are awesome and the garage smells like fresh wood :)
Slated in for this weekend is painting the baby's room! Something I am very much looking forward to. I mean who doesn't want to stand on a stool with their arm over their head for a couple hours to slowly paint the edge between ceiling and wall all while wearing a disposable respirator that makes you look like a wanna-be doctor? Seriously, though, I'm super pumped to start feeding more of my nesting urges. We also decided on a crib (woo!) so things are definitely starting to come together.

Crazy face is losing teeth at an alarming rate. I know it's normal, but we may need to call her Pirate Crazy face for awhile. In the last few days I have found her smacking a tooth around in her mouth, had one yank out while playing tug of war which resulted in a nasty blood smear on my hand, and watched as she literally dropped one out of her mouth. The highlight is that she has yet to get blood on the carpet. Yesterday she had two separate instances that had me laughing so hard I was crying and I wasn't even present for one of them. The first was that she farted and scared herself so bad she jumped up off the floor and ran away. If you ever need something to cheer you up, that will do the trick. The other event happened with Brian while I was at my women's bible study. I received a text message that stated:
Funny: when your dog climbs into the shower while you are showering. Not funny: realizing you now have to wash her by yourself and are naked with no extra towels to dry her off.
Love. Them.
Yep, she's falling asleep like that AND she's smiling. I love her more every day.
Last week I was driving to pick up some supplies for a couple presents I was making. On my drive I started reminiscing about our wedding day and how perfect it was and how much fun we had. Recalling separate little memories like the toasts at our reception and my brother dancing to Billy Jean by Michael Jackson for everyone to oo and ahh over (which they did, and made him dance to it again later). As I was searching for the supplies I needed, Billy Jean came on over the store's sound system. I love these moments in life when God reminds us that he is there, listening to our hearts and showing us that he cares and is thinking about us. How can you chalk something like that up to coincidence? It just happens way too often to have it all be happenstance. So awesome.
Love,
