Bump ahead.

If this was the only thing I ever found when spending time on pinterest, I would be thoroughly satisfied with my experience. I laugh out loud EVERY time I see this. It's especially fitting to the About Me section on this blog and yes, Brian and I both own North Face jackets. Just fabulous!

Last Saturday we had our first real snow storm of the season totaling about five inches and two rounds of shoveling. Let me backup and give you the low down on our 'hood. We live in newly established suburbia where the oldest house in the neighborhood is probably seven years old and no one has a tree over 10 feet tall. We had over 100 trick-or-treaters at Halloween, 95% of which were in elementary school or younger. I think we're one of three houses that don't have kids. That being said, in our first round of shoveling the neighbors were out making a snowman when their little girl of about five started crying and ran into the house. The dad came over and said don't worry, kids aren't always like this. I took the opportune moment to tell him that was comforting to hear since we have one on the way. He congratulated us and then jokingly (sort of) said, "Maybe the neighbors will talk to you now." Sadly, and ridiculously true. These neighbors have been one set of very few to actually come over, introduce themselves, and talk to us on a semi-regular basis. Hopefully now that gummy bear is on the way, we'll make some new friends.

In other news, I discovered something exciting on Monday:
I have a baby bump! I realize that it is the tiniest of baby bumps and could easily be passed off as a little pot belly or an extra big food baby, but I know the truth. Gummy bear is in there growing a strong sweet tooth because mama is still a little too nauseous to be eating totally healthy. Two or three more weeks and we will work on fixing that. Enjoy it while you can, baby.

Love,

-K
