We hit the 35 week mark (according to my "predicted" 40 week due date of December 6th, based on knowing when I got pregnant)! Baby's (ultrasound predicted) due date is December 1st, less than a month away! It's CRAZY how fast this is all going. Thankfully I'm feeling relatively better compared to my last post. I'm only getting headaches once and awhile and I finally have the energy along with the nesting urges so I'm starting to make some progress on things that need to get done before baby girl arrives. I'm obviously becoming more and more uncomfortable as we get closer to the due date but I don't really have any major complaints. Baby girl is still VERY active which is fun until she wants to have a dance party as I'm trying to fall asleep!

32 weeks, Brian was out of town so I had to take this one myself (baby's room, pre-painting!)

And a fun shot from Halloween week :) - notice the paint chips all over the floor!

35 weeks - and a sneak peak of purple paint!
I had my first weekly appointment this morning and everything is still looking/sounding great. They did the GSB test (which I'm praying is negative so I don't have to deal with the IV of antibiotics/not being able to leave early if everything is good). I will find out Monday-ish the results of that. I also had her check my cervix since I've been having a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions, something I didn't really experience until about a week or so before having James. I wanted the peace of mind of knowing baby plans on staying put for a while longer which the midwife was able to give me. :)

A shot of the bump this morning (please ignore my weird ribcage), exactly 7 months after finding out we were pregnant :)
We started painting her room/playroom late Saturday afternoon and put the finishing touches on it yesterday! There was a lot of indecision before coming to our final design and we are so happy with what we chose! Our goal was girly, but not overly, so her room can serve as both a nursery and a playroom since there's plenty of room for it. Here's a sneak peak:

It's intense, but with the furniture in place and some decor, it's looking amazing!
In other preparations I've been freezing a lot of meals, washing (and removing stains) from baby clothes, burp clothes, blankets, etc. Having the painting done will REALLY help me get all that finally organized how I would like. We've also been working on some other projects around the house, things that I want to do and my amazing husband graciously executes. :) This past weekend he finished building and hanging the shelves for the weird bump-out in the corner of our room and I LOVE them! It gives that corner so much more purpose than before!

After!
Right now I am trying to soak in these last weeks of pregnancy, the last weeks of James being an only child, the last weeks before our world gets completely flipped upside down...again. I'm anxious, I'm nervous, I'm excited, slightly terrified, but mostly just trying to live in each and every moment instead of counting down to the next one.
We took some maternity/family pictures last week and I can't WAIT to get those back! James was so happy and cooperative for them, unlike his stone-faced one year pictures. I've been planning on writing a blog update on him since his second birthday but clearly things are kind of crazy right now. I'm planning to do it very soon, because it's definitely not happening after baby comes!
Love,
-K
