On Monday Brian's grandpa on his dad's side passed away at the age of 96 years old. It was not unexpected and it was wonderful that he was able to have around 20 family members in the room with him the night before he passed. The impact he had on his family is both wonderful and incredible. Each time a family member posts about him I feel a new wave of smiles and grief wash over me. His obituary can be read here.

My heart is so heavy for all those who are hurting right now. I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like, for Joel and Sue especially, as they lose their fathers at the same time.
I take comfort in knowing that despite what we suffer on this earth, I have something immensely better to look forward to in heaven
"Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later." - Romans 8:18
I continue to pray God's peace that transcends all understanding on these families I hold so dear to my heart. I only hope that I will be able to celebrate one day with them in heaven. For God is good and His love endures forever.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." - 2 Cor. 4:16-18
